The Films of Tom Leahy Jr.
Tom Leahy Jr. was a well known live radio and television annoncer who went on to expand his career as a beloved television host. Both as afternoon cartoon host "Major Astro", but also as the late night Host of the horror film program "Nightmare".
What most people don't know is that he made two 16mm films that he both wrote and directed. Tonight we show he feature film "The Beast from the Beginning of Time" and his television pilot "Green Hell from the Void". Also included is a "Nightmare" promo reel Leahy created to move "Nightmare" into syndicated programming.
